Men’s Soccer: Titans Drop Home Contest to Ohio Northern

NEW WILMNGTON, Pa. -  The Westminster men's soccer team lost, 3-1, at home against Ohio Northern University on Friday night.

The Polar Bears got on top early from a Jacob Westerkamp goal in the 21st minute. A defensive battle commenced and the scoring opportunities were limited for both sides. Ohio Northern (3-2-1) took a 1-0 lead to intermission.

Ten minutes into the second half, graduate student Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor , WA / Charles Wright Academy) answered the call and tied the game with his fourth goal of season. Ohio Northern took the lead back with a goal from Levi King in the 60th minute to make the score 2-1. The Polar Bears scored another goal off the foot of Cameron Picard during a break away.

The Titans (3-4) are back in action on Tuesday, September 22 as they travel to Cleveland, Oh. to take on the Case Western Spartans. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
