NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Westminster College junior diver Patrick Holton (Livonia, MI / Winston Churchill) was named a First Team All-American in the 1 meter dive and a Second Team All-American in the 3 meter dive, announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Monday. Holton is the first Titan All-American since Connor May (2018).
Holton, a three-time All-PAC First Team selection, was named the PAC Diver of the Year this season after he won both the 3 meter PAC title with a score of 501.50 and the 1 meter championship with a score of 429.40 (both regional-qualifying marks), marking the first PAC Championships of his collegiate career. Holton's 11-dive score in the 3 meter event was the fourth-best mark in the country this year, while his 1 meter score was 18th among Division III counterparts. His six-dive score (280.35) in the 1 meter was 14th in NCAA Division III, while his six-dive mark (307.25) in the 3 meter was fifth-best.
Due to the cancellation of their respective national championships, selection procedures were adjusted for the season. Division III diving selections were conducted via a video evaluation of performances from the 2020-21 academic year.
