Titan Women in First Place in PAC All-Sports Trophy Standings, Men Tied for Third

GREENVILLE, Pa.--The men’s athletic program at Washington & Jefferson College and women’s athletic program at Westminster College lead their respective Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) All-Sports Trophy races after the conclusion of the fall championships.

The all-sports trophies are annually awarded to the schools which perform the best across the board in league competition. First-place finishes are worth nine points, runner-up finishes are worth eight points ... last place is worth one point.

W&J leads the men’s race with 24.5 points, while Westminster sits atop the women’s leaderboard with 29 points.

Men

W&J claimed its first PAC soccer title since 2007 to net nine all-sports trophy points. The Presidents earned eight points with their runner-up finish at the cross country championships and 7.5 points after posting a 6-3 league record in football.  

Grove City College is currently second with 21 points. The Wolverines scored nine points in football after registering a 7-2 league record and also added six points in both soccer and cross country with their fourth-place finishes.  

Geneva College and Westminster College are tied for third with 17.5 points. Saint Vincent College is fifth (15.5) and is followed by Waynesburg University in sixth (15), Bethany College in seventh (10), Chatham University in eighth (8) and Thiel College in ninth (5).  

Women

Westminster earned nine all-sports trophy points after winning its first volleyball title since 2008. The Titans claimed third-place finishes in both soccer and tennis, nabbing seven points in each, and added six points with their fourth-place finish in cross country.  

Grove City is currently second with 28 points. The Wolverines netted their second-straight PAC title in soccer, were the runner-up in tennis and finished third in cross country. 

Geneva is currently third with 26 points and is followed by W&J in fourth (20), Saint Vincent in fifth (19), Waynesburg in sixth (17), Chatham in seventh (15), Bethany in eighth (13.5) and Thiel in ninth (11.5).
