Patton Finishes Hepthathlon Runner-Up at YSU Mid-Major Meet

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio-- Senior Jacob Patton, from Harrisville, Pa., led the Westminster College men's indoor track and field team at the Youngstown State University Mid Major Invitational with a runner-up finish in the heptathlon. With 4,677 points, Patton set a new school record and ranks eighth in Division III. He took first in the 60-meter hurdles (8.68) and the 1000 meters (2:49.47).

Senior Deondre McKeever placed 25th in the long jump (6.36 meters) and ranks third in the Presidents' Athletic Conference. Junior Anthony Kamenski was 26th in the 60-meter hurdles (9.22) and 28th in the 400 meters (51.96). Senior Ryan Beard finished 35th in both the 200 meters (23.28) and the 60 meters (7.215), with the 200 ranking fourth in the league.

The distance medley relay placed 13th with a time of 12:08.48, featuring Ryan Armstrong, Dane Fasick, Caden Harsh, and Justin Redilla. The 4x400-meter relay, featuring Kamenski, Beard, Max Dailey, and Jayneil Latham, placed 19th (3:39.79).

Westminster College will next compete at the University of Akron Invitational on February 3-4.
