Shiderly wins shot put at Baldwin Wallace

BEREA, Ohio--Westminster College sophomore Lexi Shiderly (New Castle, Pa. | Mohawk) won the shot put at Baldwin Wallace University's Mid-February Meet Friday night. 

Shiderly topped the 26 competitor field with a winning throw of 11.94 meters (39-02.25). She also finished 17th (10.33m, 33-10.75) in the weight throw. 

Freshman Shelby Rambo (East Palestine, Ohio | Crestview) was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 10.80 meters (35-05.25) and fifth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 10.10 seconds. 

Junior Saige Heigel (Kersey, Pa. | Saint Marys) finished sixth in the shot put (10.56m, 34-07.25) and senior Chloe Jaworski (Mount Pleasant, Pa. | Mount Pleasant) was 12th (9.83m, 32-03) in the event. 

Freshman Rachel Brady (Columbus, Pa. | Corry) finished 14th in the shot put (9.56m, 31-04.50) and 16th in the weight throw with a throw (10.51m, 34-05.75).

Westminster will participate in the SPIRE Indoor Games Saturday. Events are scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m. in Geneva, Ohio.
