WOOSTER, Ohio – The Westminster College men's and women's swimming & diving teams competed in the final day of the Wooster Invitational on Saturday.
The Titan men finished in fifth place with 907.5 points, while the women also finished in fifth place with 908 points.
For the men, the quartet of senior Matt Kwalick (Sewickley, PA / Quaker Valley), junior Blaine Sorrick (Mantua, OH / Crestwood) and sophomores Trevor McCabe (Avon, NY / Avon Central) and Jacob Musselman (Denver, PA / Cocalico) finished in third place in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:08.58. In the 100 freestyle, Kwalick claimed an individual victory in the 100 yard freestlye with a time of 46.17, while Musselman finished in fifth place in the same event with a time of 47.26. Senior Aaron Dunlany (Boardman, OH / Boardman) finished seventh in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:13.97.
For the women, senior Abigail Jones (Cabot, PA / Knoch) highlighted the day, as she tied for a second-place finish in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:02.18. In the 200 yard breaststroke, senior Maggie Manolis (Jeannette, PA / Jeannette) finished seventh with a time of 2:31.53 and sophomore Anna Grimenstein (Bridgeville, PA / Homeschooled) placed seventh in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:17.07.
Westminster will be back in action on Sunday, January 5 when it travels to Saint Petersburg, Florida to take part in the St. Pete's Classic Relays starting at 9 a.m.
