GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Titan men's and women's swimming and diving teams finally have a schedule for the abbreviated pandemic season. On Tuesday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released the 2021 regular-season schedules.
The Titans begin competing on Friday, Jan. 29, hosting Chatham. The limited regular season will run until Feb. 23.
The PAC has scheduled championships for Monday-Friday, March 1-5, at Grove City College.
The PAC Championships will use the NCAA's four-day, common-site program for the season.
"Women's swimming events will occur on Monday and Thursday, with men's swimming events on Tuesday and Friday," the PAC announced in a news release. "Days one and two of the four-day program will be conducted in the morning and evening sessions, respectively, on the competition's first day. Days three and four of the four-day program will be conducted in the morning and evening sessions, respectively, on the competition's second day. Men's and women's one-meter and three-meter diving will be conducted on Wednesday."
PAC officials say the conference continues to monitor the pandemic situation and stress plans for returning to competition, and current schedules are subject to change at any time based on available public health best practices and approaches or local, state and federal guidelines, recommendations or mandates.
PAC institutions will have adjusted attendance policies in place for home events during the 2021 season to promote and prioritizing the health and safety of student-athletes, game day staff and designated personnel in light of COVID-19. Schools will determine if on-campus student attendance is permissible at their facilities. There will be no fans permitted. Institutional attendance policies will continue to be reviewed throughout the season.
