NEW WILMINGTON, PA.-- The Wilmington Greyhounds will host the Farrell Steelers Saturday, Oct. 10, at n7 PM at Greyhound stadium and Titan Radio will bring you live coverage beginning at 6:45.

This is arguably the most anticipated game of the year in District 10. The Farrell Steelers are coming off back to back State Championships from the past two years while Wilmington has been to the state finals in two of the last three years, ultimately falling to The Southern Columbia Tigers both times.

Wilmington will have a slight edge going into this game because they defeated Farrell earlier this year by a score of 41-20 on Sept. 18.  They have a statistical advantage, as well. Throughout this season, Wilmington has outscored their opponents 179-26. However, Farrell is not far behind. They have outscored their opponents 159-55.

I should note that Wilmington has not allowed a home score all year so far against teams. In addition to this, Wilmington has not lost a home game since Oct. 16, 2015. Wilmington has also not lost a regular-season game since Aug. 31, 2018, where these Farrell Steelers defeated them. Statistics aside, this should be an entertaining game to watch.

There are big playmakers on both teams that will look to make an impact coming into this game. Wilmington has always prided themselves on the run game. Their three-headed monster in the backfield with Darren Miller, Eithan Susen, and Luke Edwards has run for 899 yards and 14 touchdowns. Along with agile quarterback Caelan Bender, who has thrown for 292 yards on the season along with five touchdowns and has rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns of his own. They have had success with Anthony Stallworth, who has rushed for 615 yards and 13 touchdowns for Farrell.

Meanwhile, Christian Hartley has thrown for 422 yards and four touchdowns on the season. The Greyhounds come in with a perfect 4-0 records while Farrell will come in with a 3-1 record with Wilmington being that one loss. The top of the region will be in play and it will undoubtedly be a fascinating contest.
