Volleyball: Titans Sweep Bearcats, Stay Unbeaten in Conference Play

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Westminster College volleyball team will face Otterbein University in the opening round of the 2021 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship.

The Titans (28-4) will play the Cardinals (23-5) at host Calvin University, in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 12:30 p.m.

Top-seeded Westminster earned a straight-set victory over No. 2 Bethany in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament title match at home Saturday evening to earn the league’s automatic NCAA qualifying bid.

Otterbein lost to No. 17 Ohio Northern in the Ohio Athletic Conference title match. The last matchup between Westminster and Otterbein was in 2010 (the Cardinals won 3-1). The Titans’ last win over Otterbein was in 2008 (3-0).

The national appearance will be Westminster's fifth overall in program history, all under veteran Head Coach Tammy Swearingen. The Titans qualified for the 2019, 2008, and 2007 NCAA Tournament and the 1997 NAIA Tournament.
