NEW CASTLE, Pa.–The United Way and other non-profit agencies in Lawrence County come together for the annual United Day of Caring. This will take place starting at Cascade Park Pavilion on Thursday, September 7, at 8:00 Am.

This year United Way will be celebrating the 75th year partnering with the AFL-CIO. To honor this  Frank Snyder, Secretary-Treasurer of Pennsylvania AFL_CIO, will be the main speaker of the event.  Snyder is currently on his second term as Secretary-Treasurer and has been a huge help to the United Way over the years.

The Day of Caring is recognized along with Patriot Day. Not only here in Lawrence County, but all over the country. Communities come together and volunteer to give back to their own communities.

If you are interested in helping the Community out with projects such as: painting, landscaping, cleaning and organizing. Please contact the United Way of Lawrence County at 724-658-8528 or visit the website at www.uwlawcty.org.
