NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Titan senior Raymond Shalvoy (Rochester, NY / East Rochester) tied a school-record with a career-high nine goals in the Westminster College men’s lacrosse team’s 24-7 win at home against non-conference foe La Roche College Wednesday evening.

Nine Titans scored at least one goal. Sophomore Austin Vanderhoof (Chardon, OH / Notre Dame Cathedral Latin School) and freshman Tucker Pierce (Saratoga Springs, NY / Saratoga Springs) each totaled three goals, while freshman Shane Fisher (Palm Harbor, FL / East Lake), sophomore Tyler Nordby (Burnt Hills, NY / Burnt Hills), and sophomore Dante Serra (Center Valley, PA / Southern Lehigh) each had a pair of scores. Serra also dished out a game-high four assists.

Westminster led 6-1 after the first quarter and 14-3 at halftime. The Titans outscored the Redhawks, 10-4, in the second half. Westminster outshot La Roche, 46-18, and held a 59-25 advantage in ground balls. Serra led the Titans in ground balls with six.

Titan junior goalkeeper Carter Hall (Zeeland, MI / Zeeland West) collected four saves in a complete-game effort.

Westminster is back in action Wednesday, March 28 at Franciscan University with a 4 p.m. start time.
