NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. –126 South Market Street may become the host of an already growing hotspot. Hall of Hobbies is a hobby shop that opened on Saturday November 4th. This is big news for both Wilmington High School and Westminster College, who possess the demographic the store is trying to attract.
For those that don’t know, a hobby shop is a store that consists of an assortment of entertainment items. The Hall of Hobbies in particular currently has videogames, videogames consoles, old portable gaming devices, trading cards including Pokemon, Magic The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Ball Z, and sports cards, as well as action figures, comics and records.
Jeffrey Knight, the store owner, states “We try to have a large range of inventory, because not everybody likes the same things. Our goal and our mission here is we wanted to get involved with the community as a family owned business. We want to let people know that they can come here and kids can have fun, they can play games and have something to do on the evenings”.
This is a big opportunity for the business, as previously the closest shop of this nature to New Wilmington was in Grove City, a twenty two minute drive away.
The store plans to have more events as well. For more information and updates, you can check out the Hall of Hobbies Facebook page.
