NEW CASTLE, Pa.- Downtown New Castle is hosting the annual Light Up Night Parade on Thursday, Nov. 29. The Parade has floats, entertainment, as well as marches from the local community and volunteers. Participants will be decorating and lighting up their floats to make them stand out and shine brightly for this holiday parade.
The Pre-Parade entertainment for attendees will begin at 6 p.m. and include music from First Baptist Church on East Street, along with New Creation Methodist Church Praise Team at the Diamond. Hoop Spirit will also be performing on the stage at the corner of Mill and North Street.
New Castle’s may will host the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. It begins at 7 PM, just as the parade passes through the Diamond.
The Parade will take place at the west edge of the Diamond, travel Washington Street onto East Street, proceed to North Street, and end at the Inner Belt. Those running the parade are encouraging attendees to spread out along the Parade’s path to enjoy the tradition.
