Local PA Reps announce $7.1 Million to expand broadband locally

HERMITAGE, Pa.-- More than 4,400 residents and business owners in Lawrence and Mercer counties will gain access to high-speed internet, thanks to funding from Federal Communications Commission.

The awards were announced this week state Rep. Mark Longietti and state Rep. Chris Sainato.

“More than ever, the internet has become a lifeline, connecting residents to critical information and services and giving business owners the ability to compete in the world of online commerce,” Sainato said. “
