EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Authorities in Pennsylvania are investigating a skydiving accident which claimed the life of a New Jersey man.

The incident happened Sunday and officials found the body of 74-year-old Ed Harney of Paramus, New Jersey, in a wooded area in East Stroudsburg. His friends told police Harney was an experienced skydiver. Authorities told WNEP-TV Harney’s parachute opened but eventually separated from him.

Monroe County Coroner Tom Yanac says officials are not sure if there was a problem with the chute or another issue. The cause of death is pending an autopsy.
