NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa.– New Castle native and Ohio State football freshman safety Marcus Hooker faces a preliminary hearing on July 5 on DUI charges.

Police say Hooker, the younger brother of Indianapolis Colts safety Malik Hooker, was stopped by police in Neshannock Township on June 15.

He faces charges of DUI, purchase of alcohol by a minor, disregard of a traffic lane, careless driving, and failure to have rear lights.

Hooker, who is 18, was a stand out on the New Castle High School football squad.  He enrolled at Ohio State earlier this month.
