NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men’s soccer team blanked Thiel College, 2-0, in Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) action Wednesday night on Senior Night.

Titan senior Justin Brandt (Ellicott City, MD / Archbishop Spalding) scored the first goal of the contest, his second of the season, less than one minute into the game as he gathered in a deflection in the box and found the back of the net.

Westminster sophomore Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor, WA / Charles Wright Academy) added insurance for the Titans with a second-half goal (51:19) after junior Peter Mattocks (Saegertown, PA / Saegertown) found him with a cross in the box. Iregui now has a team-high 13 goals, which also ranks most in the league.

Senior AJ Bove (New Stanton, PA / Hempfield Area) earned the shut-out victory with one save in a complete-game effort.

For the contest, Westminster outshot Thiel, 31-4, including 18-1 on-goal.

The Titans are back on the field, Saturday, October 13 with a road PAC game at Saint Vincent College, starting at 1 p.m.
