NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.–The Biology of Birds cluster has taught me a lot things this semester. It has taught me a new appreciation for birds that I never thought I would undertake, especially in college. I’ve learned to be patient in the field, especially when hearing a bird, you have to stay quiet in order to potentially get a good look at the bird. I’ve also learned many things in the media side to the cluster, like how to distinguish real news from fake news and also how to write professional journalism blogs. The main point that I am taking from the cluster is to work hard and pay attention to the little details while birding, and in life in general. I’d like to thank Bradley Weaver and Dr. Kerri Duerr for teaching us valuable information while also educating us about being quality college students.
