DANBURY, Conn. (Titan Athletics)– The Westminster College volleyball team earned a spot in the 2018 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Volleyball Championship Tournament.
 
Westminster (30-3), along with McDaniel College (21-8) and Cabrini University (22-10), all received first round byes. Cabrini earned the top overall seed for tournament which begins on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
 
The Titans will play the first-round winner of Lebanon Valley College (17-12) and Rutgers University – Newark (16-11) in the third quarterfinals on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Cabrini.
 
Westminster claimed last year’s ECAC Championship, the first for the Titans as an NCAA Division III member. Senior Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) was named on the All-Tournament Team. Westminster won the ECAC Championship as Division II members in 2001; current assistant coach Shannon Liposky was the MVP.
 
First Round – Wednesday, Nov. 7
Game 1: No. 2 Neumann University (16-16) hosts No. 3 Brooklyn College (18-10) 7:00 p.m.
Game 2: No. 2 PSU – Behrend (19-10) hosts No. 3 Wilkes University (18-12) 7:00 p.m.
Game 3: No. 2 Lebanon Valley College (17-12) hosts No. 3 Rutgers University – Newark (16-11) 7:00 p.m.
Game 4: No. 1 Misericordia University (25-10) hosts No. 3 John Jay College (16-11) 7:00 p.m.
Game 5: No. 2 New York University (18-16) vs. No. 3 Mount Saint Mary College (18-14) 7:00 p.m.
 
Quarterfinals – Saturday, Nov. 10 at Cabrini University
Quarterfinal 1: Cabrini University (22-10) vs. Winner of Game 1 11:00 a.m.
