NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Titan Athletics)– The Westminster College women’s basketball team will host Waynesburg University on Monday, February 18 at 7 p.m. in the First Round of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Tournament.
The Titans (8-17, 6-10 PAC) are the sixth seed, while the Yellow Jackets (8-17, 6-10 PAC) are the seventh seed.
Westminster split the regular season series with Waynesburg. The Titans won, 73-64, at home on December 5. The Yellow Jackets were victorious on January 26 at their place, 93-65.
Junior Emily Fromknecht (Erie, PA / McDowell) leads the Titans in points (11.4) and rebounds (9.6). Her rebounds rank second in the conference. Sophomore Andrea Orlosky leads the Yellow Jackets in points (16.8), ranking third in the PAC, while senior Monica Starre leads on the glass (9.0), sitting third in the league.
Monday will mark the first time Westminster has hosted a PAC Tournament game since the 2013-14 season. 
The winner between Westminster and Waynesburg will travel to third-seed Grove City College on Wednesday, February 20 in the Quarterfinals.

The winners of Wednesday’s quarterfinal matchups will travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania for the semifinal and championship rounds Friday and Saturday. W&J will face off against the 3-6-7 winner Friday at 5:30 p.m., followed by Saint Vincent hosting the 4-5-8 winner in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. The start time of Saturday’s title game will be announced later this week. 

Admission to all PAC Championship Tournament contests is $5 for adults and $2 for students, with students at PAC host institutions admitted for free with valid identification. 

The winner of the PAC’s Championship Tournament will receive the league’s automatic qualifying bid to this year’s Division III Championship Tournament. The selected Division III Championship teams as well as the first and second round site selections will be announced Monday, February 25 at 2:30 p.m. (EST) on First and second round games are scheduled for Friday-Saturday, March 1-2.
