New Wilmington, Pa. – Lead by Head Coach Dave Hayden, the Westminster Women’s Tennis team defends their fourth year of winning the President’s Athletic Conference. The defending ladies also went on a third trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Not only did the women of Westminster tennis keep their title in the PAC, but they also brought back three letter winners from last years PAC title. Senior Gabriele Eaborn, Senior Patricia Pivaronas, and Sophomore Alex Marzouca all earn an honor of being All- PAC First Team.

“We are very excited about the season and defending our PAC Championship,” Hayden said.” “We have some great opportunities for the incoming freshman class to make a big impact during their first year since we graduated four All-PAC First Team players this past May”

This year the Women’s Tennis team was picked third in the  2017 PAC preseason coaches’ poll. They vote on this by gathering together with the league’s 9 head coaches. Not only did the Titans earn 63 points and a first-place vote, but had 3 players named on the PAC’s Players to Watch list: Eaborn, Pivaronas, and Marzouca.

The Westminster Women’s Tennis team is scheduled to kick off the 2017 season Friday, September 1st at Franciscan University of Steubenville at 3 p.m.

The women’s tennis league’s regular season is scheduled to end on Sunday, October 15th with the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Tournament. The PAC tournament is Friday and Saturday, October 20th-21st and is held at the Pennbriar Athletic Club in Erie, Pennsylvania.

With another great season ahead of them and a encouraging coach by their side, the Westminster Women’s Tennis team is sure to keep their heads held high and hearts humble as they fight to the finish of what could possibly be their 5th PAC title.

May the odds be ever in your Westminster favor, WC Women’s Tennis Team.
