PYEONGCHANG, South Korea– WPXI-TV videojournalist & WC grad Tony Ruffolo (’85) took viewers and social media followers up close and behind the scenes at the Winter Olympics in South Korea.

The Channel 11 News videographer was embedded at the Olympics as the NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh covers the events in Pyeongchang with live broadcasts, stories, and social media posts.

He’s often worked next to crews from NBC’s “Today” show, etc.

Ruffolo’s days were long. His video gear is heavy and working the winter games was a lot more work than chasing stories in Pittsburgh.

Reporter Hanna Erdmann shows us more about Ruffulo’s efforts covering the games for the local NBC affiliate.
