NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- Westminster College alumni played a significant role in country music star Jake Owen's newest music video, "Up There Down Here." Alumnus Troy Jackson ('17) produced the video, which was released this week.

Jackson faced the challenge of coordinating a production crew and filming locations in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Florida while working around Owen's busy touring schedule. The result is one of the most ambitious music videos of his career.

"I began communicating with local ranches in the area," Jackson wrote on Instagram. "And that's when I found John, the owner of Pinto Ranch. We captured some truly magnificent shots with the Grand Tetons as our backdrop, including the lightning strike that appears almost by command of Jake's hand. Fast forward a week and a half, and we're in muggy Florida with some old and new friends."

One of those old friends and fellow Titan, Doltyn Snedden ('17), collaborated with him on the project as the video's editor. Snedden and Jackson started working on short films and award-winning music videos as undergraduates at Westminster College. They continue that professional connection in Nashville, working on various projects for country and rock musicians.

Multi-platinum entertainer Jake Owen, an Academy of Country Music Award winner, released his new single to country radio, which debuted on 32 first-week stations. The music video release coincided with the launch of the new song.
