PITTSBURGH- Westminster’s Tiny House team took a trip to Pittsburgh to rub elbows with alumni this month. The group found themselves at the Olive or Twist, a nifty restaurant in the city with a connection to a WC grad. Tiny House organizers were recruiting donors to keep the project moving forward.
What they did:
- a live stream of the event
- a presentation
- delicious catering service
- brought alumni together
It was a fun evening for our WC environmental advocates networked with alumni with a meet and greet cocktail event. The group’s presentation showcased the hard work of the students now working to build Westminster’s first tiny house.
WC is the first undergraduate institution that has started a tiny house program. There are plans to integrate the project into courses. One or two students could share a living experience in the first structure built.
Organizers are working on the details for when they’ll start building the first tiny house.
