ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a New Year’s Day street fight between two men in a western Pennsylvania city ended with one combatant dead and the other stabbed and injured.

State police say the fight was reported around 6 a.m. Tuesday in Aliquippa.

Authorities say the men were on the porch of a city home when they started arguing. The fight soon ensued, and the stabbing occurred near another home three doors down.

The injured man then killed the other man, though authorities haven’t disclosed further details. They also haven’t said what sparked the argument.

The injured man was taken to a hospital, but further details were not disclosed. Authorities have not released the names of either man.

Authorities say charges are pending against the injured man.
