GREENVILLE, Pa. –(Titan Athletics)  The Westminster College men’s golf team swept the weekly Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Men’s Golf awards on Tuesday. Junior Avery Andric (Lisbon, OH/David Anderson) was named the Player of the Week, while freshman Michael Bell Westminster (Canonsburg, PA/Peters Township) earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Andric claimed medalist honors at the 56-player La Roche Invitational last Tuesday at Wildwood Golf Club in Allison Park, Pa. He fired a five-over 76 and tied Pitt-Bradford’s Johnny Fiore after the completion of the round before earning the win in a one-hole playoff. Andric tied for eighth (148, 75-73) at last weekend’s 68-player Mount Union Fall Invitational at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio before tying for 22nd (83) Monday at the 63-player Westminster Fall Invitational, hosted by the New Castle Country Club. He averaged a score of 76.8 over last week’s four rounds.

Bell helped Westminster earn a third-place team finish at its annual fall invitational Monday. Bell tied for eighth after carding an 81. He tied teammate Connor White (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) for the program’s best round of the afternoon. Last Tuesday at the La Roche, he tied for 28th (83). Bell tied for 53rd (164, 84-80) at last Mount Union. He averaged a score of 82.0 during his four rounds last week.

The Titans will next compete in the two-day PAC Fall Championships at Avalon Lakes in Warren, Ohio, starting on Monday, October 1.
