NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women’s lacrosse team concluded its 2018 season with an 18-4 win against Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) foe Thomas More College at home for Senior Day.

Before the game, Westminster recognized its seniors Alyssa Rossi (Bay Village, OH / Bay Village) and Sarah Nutter (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills).

Westminster (5-9, 5-6 ORLC) started the game with a 5-0 lead with 23:33 on the clock, led by sophomore Bria Braddock (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) who had four goals during that span. Jalee Connor scored the first goal for Thomas More (1-10, 1-10 ORLC) at the 23:03 mark. The Titans extended their lead, 8-1, after sophomore Michaela Hays (Blairsville, PA / Blairsville) scored two goals and first-year Marisa Keller (Canonsburg, PA / Canon-McMillan) netted a goal, with 12:47 left in the frame. After Thomas More scored its second goal of the game (11:32), Westminster registered eight-straight goals, courtesy of seven different Titans, and led 16-2 at halftime. Both teams scored two goals in the second half.

Braddock finished with a game-high six goals, while Hays had three. Junior Emily D’Amico (Moon Township, PA / Moon Area), Nutter, and Keller each scored twice. Sophomore Cortlynn Douds (Darlington, PA / Blackhawk), first-year Taylor Williams (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex Area), and sophomore Romie Schweickert (Hiram, OH / Crestwood) each added a goal.

The Titans led in shots-on-goal (30-8), clears (12-14 to 10-22), ground balls (22-11), draw controls (11- 10), and free-position shots (12-7). Braddock collected a game-high nine ground balls.

D’Amico finishes the season with a school-record 51 goals. Braddock set program records in points (58), assists (10), ground balls (86).
