GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) released its 2017 All-PAC women’s soccer teams on Thursday. Westminster College junior defender Keely Birsic (North Ridgville, OH/Elyria Catholic) was named on the First Team, while first-year midfielder Alexandria Applin(Beavercreek Township, OH/Beavercreek) and sophomore midfielder Kiana Kawarizadeh (New Albany, OH/New Albany) earned Honorable Mention. Titan freshman defender Regan Moorhouse(New Castle, PA/Neshannock) was named on the PAC Sportsmanship Team.

Birsic, earning the first All-PAC First Team honor of her career, was fifth in the conference with a team-high 21 points. Her team-high eight goals and her team-best five assists both tied for fourth in the PAC. Birsic earned All-PAC Second Team Honors last season.

Kawarizadeh, picking up the second All-PAC Honorable Mention recognition of her career, played in all 18 games, starting in 17 of them, this year. Applin was third on the team with 12 points. Her five goals tied for second-best on the team, while her two assists tied for third.

Ballots for the all-conference teams and annual award winners were voted on by the league’s 10 head coaches.

Westminster earned a spot in the ECAC Division III Championship and will play host Frostburg State University on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. in the first round.
