STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Westminster College women’s tennis team opened its 2017 season with a 5-4 win over Franciscan University in a non-conference match on Friday.

The Titans won the first four singles matches, led by senior Gabriele Eaborn (Coraopolis, PA / West Allegheny) who won 7-6 (4-0), 6-4 at number one.

Westminster sophomore Alex Marzouca (Miami, FL / Immaculate Conception) and first-year Julia Serbati (Oil City, PA / Oil City Area) earned a number two doubles victory, 8-4.

The Titans are back in action Saturday, September 9 with a road match at Allegheny College at 8:30 a.m.
